The Hook

Bound to this plane by Helm himself, this elemental is cursed to solitude as it protects the tomb of a great paladin of Torm and her divine weapon.

Inspiration to Draw on

In D&D lore Helm and Torm were very good friends. Apparently their followers tend not to get along, mainly their priestess and priests, where at odds. But, the gods where good friends. So If an avatar of Torm were to fall, it would almost seem fitting for Helm to send a protector to watch over the remains. Enter, stage left the Elemental Myrmidon.

The Myrmidon is a class of elements that have been summoned and bound to a suit of armor. The ritual is human enough to remove the Elementals memories from it until it is set free or killed. It only knows its created purpose in this form… This is a sad life for these creatures.

So something to think about. What is the Myrmidon stayed alive and bound for so long that the memory suppression magic started to fade? Who could this elemental truly be? Also what is its purpose and aspirations? Would it shirk its current purpose? Might it help adventurers instead of hinder?
